The abalone has existed as an icon of sustenance, ornamentation, and the sea for at least 12,000 years of human history. Sinkus’ Cosmic Abalone raises the unmistakable, but typically drab, shell to a position of reverence as the mottled rainbow hues call directly to the abalone’s significance as a treasured source of mother of pearl.
