Description

24"h x 11"w x 8"d
hand blown and flame-worked borosilicate glass sculpture

Homarus is a technical feat. The largest lobster that Sinkus has ever created, the sculpture is not only a joyful expression of hard-earned skill, but a celebration of the complex creature that is the common lobster. Homarus sings as a symbol of the world beneath the ocean's surface, light bending through the crystal clear glass to highlight the details of the lobster's alien shell.

This work was included in the exhibition Beneath There is Light, on view at The Glass Station Gallery from June 6-19, 2025
