Collection: Dan Mirer

Dan Mirer is a glass artist and designer based in Corning, New York. Working in glass since the age of 16, Mirer’s practice is rooted in the design process, with a focus on clean aesthetics, functional form, and subtle beauty.
Mirer studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology (AAS), Alfred University (BFA), the Pukeberg School of Design in Sweden, and the Tyler School of Art and Architecture (MFA). Since 2004, he has worked independently, creating a range of glasswork including drinkware, tableware, and home décor. His pieces often incorporate innovative techniques, such as the use of 23k gold and 12k white gold leaf fused to glass surfaces during the blowing process, and bear his signature Bottle and Goblet mark.
Mirer’s work has strong ties to the Corning Museum of Glass, where he has participated in the Hot Glass programs and served as an Artist-in-Residence. He has taught at institutions such as Alfred University, Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts, the Toledo Museum of Art, and the Corning Museum of Glass.
