Collection: 720 Glassworks

720 Glassworks is the collaborative studio of husband and wife glass artists James Stanford and Andrea Cammarata Stanford. Their partnership began in 2011 after a chance meeting at an art festival, sparked by a shared passion for glass and a mutual appreciation for each other's distinct style and vision. By combining over two decades of experience in glass artistry, they have built a studio known for its inventive, finely crafted pieces exhibited and collected internationally.
James Stanford’s approach to glass reflects a lifelong exploration of perception, form, and movement, shaped by his background in competitive gymnastics, skateboarding, and the Surrealist art movement. He formally trained with master glass artists including Justin Wells and Robert Mickelsen and was commissioned by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History to create a series of glass pathogen sculptures now part of its permanent collection.
Andrea Cammarata Stanford brings a background in floristry, botanical art, and stone sculpture to her glasswork. Beginning with flameworked beads, she expanded her skills into glass fusing, carving, etching, and large-scale architectural glass design. Her work, including her edgy jewelry line known as The Cammarata Collection, reflects a deep appreciation for the organic and the natural world.
Together at 720 Glassworks, James and Andrea merge hot, warm, and cold glass techniques to create dynamic, expressive sculptures that explore texture, form, and narrative. Their collaboration is built on a foundation of shared creativity, technical excellence, and a continuing dialogue between vision and material.
