Collection: Scott Staats

Scott Staats is a glass artist based in New Jersey, known for his vibrant, hand-blown works that blend realism with abstraction. Drawing inspiration from the colors and forms of the natural world, Staats uses traditional glassblowing techniques, layered color applications, and varied surface finishes to create pieces that capture motion, beauty, and the sophisticated chaos of nature.

Born in Princeton, New Jersey, Staats first encountered glass while working in the coldshop of a glassblowing studio during high school. After initially pursuing a business career, he returned to glass as an apprentice, eventually becoming a lead glassblower. He went on to work in production and design studios, manage a public access glass studio, and in 2017, launched his own business.

In 2022, Staats realized his dream of opening his own glass studio, where he continues to create work that, in his words, "brings joy by creating beauty, invoking thoughts and memories, blending colors, and capturing the imagination."
