In his Ocean Forest series, Danny Polk captures the color, depth, and movement of the sea and the array of life it contains. The vases feature a deep blue bottom that fades to a lighter aqua near the top. Atop this, he layers reactive bits of colored glass that create the illusion of effervescence, small and large aquatic creatures, and sea grass.
The Large Mermaid's Purse is a striking, flat, sculptural vessel that will become the focal point of any room. Its organically shaped top recalls the legs of a mermaid's purse, or skate egg, a shape familiar to beachcombers on the Eastern Seaboard. It measures 16.25"H x 12.25"w.
